The winner takes it all
The clash between these two clubs in the tournament was of particular interest to the media. The reason for this was obvious. One of the two clubs was the favorite of the "LGBTQ+" community. This team constantly went to the press about how much they loved queer people. A few of the players had come out publicly and the coach described himself as "non-binary". Opposed to them was the club that was known as the most conservative in the league. This team had repeatedly declined to wear rainbow colors or participate in Pride events. The left-wing media were certain: this game would be a victory for "tolerance".
But things turned out differently. The conservative team won and the "rainbow team" suffered the worst defeat in the club's history. Shortly thereafter, a controversial post by the conservative team went viral.
It showed a picture of the team in the locker room shortly after the end of the game. Several players stuck their bare bottoms into the camera. Under the pic, the club wrote: "This is what happens when fags try to play sports. Real men always win!”
The left-wing media then tried to publicly cancel the players, but the popularity of the conservative club skyrocketed over the next few weeks and months. The conservative players had a great career ahead of them. As for the players from the other club… many of them never recovered from that blow and left the team and the sport. But there are rumors that most of them have at least found a job again, at McDonalds or Starbucks. So all is well that ends well.
